Shola Shoretire, a young Nigerian striker has signed a deal with Manchester United, with the deal, he has committed his future to the Red Devils.

Shore has signed scholarship forms with Manchester Utd until next year. By next year, he will become a professional Man United player.

The 16-year-old rejected the advances of other European clubs that were interested in his signature.

Shola who was fully promoted to United’s U18 team earlier into this season has made 12 appearances in the U18 Premier League. 

The Nigerian striker is eligible to represent Nigeria and England.

As of December 12th, 2018, Shola who was 14 years and 314 days became the youngest Manchester United player in history to feature in the UEFA Youth League and Cup game.

He came on as a substitute against Valencia U19s team. 

Manchester United took on Wigan on Friday and in the game, Shola scored for the Under 18 team even after spending the day at school studying for his GCSEs.

Neil Ryan, Under-18 coach said: “He was at school today, all day! Then he came over to Old Trafford to play. It’s incredible really.”

“Different day for him compared to other players. We want to keep them humble, hard-working,” he said.

You will recall that Manchester United had on the last day of the January transfer window signed Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo on a six-month loan deal.

Ighalo who has thus far made three appearances for the Red Devils has scored one goal for the team against Club Brugge.
