A 6 weeks old baby reportedly died after testing positive for covid-19. The Governor of Connecticut who broke the news described it as heartbreaking.
According to multiple sources, the 6-weeks-old newborn is believe to be the youngest victim of the merciless bug yet.

Testing confirmed last night that the newborn was COVID-19 positive. This is absolutely heartbreaking. We believe this is one of the youngest lives lost anywhere due to complications relating to COVID-19. (2/3)

“It is with heartbreaking sadness today that we can confirm the first pediatric fatality in Connecticut linked to COVID-19,” The Governor of Connecticut, Ned Lamont, wrote in a tweet. “A 6-week-old newborn from the Hartford area was brought unresponsive to a hospital late last week and could not be revived.”
The Governor who also stressed that it is “one of the youngest lives” lost due to covid-19 used the opportunity to urge people to stay at home to help fight outbreak.
The United States of America is now by far the worst-hit country in the world in terms of the number of confirmed cases.
