Similar to most school, the institution holds an annual Post UTME examination.

ABU Zaria Post UTME 2019 registration portal & requirements (how to register)
The official registration portal for ABU Zaria is putme.abu.edu.ng. It is advisable to visit this portal using a computer.
However, to be able to register and participate in the exam, you must have scored a Minimum of 180 in your JAMB UTME result. In addition, you must have selected ABU Zaria as your first choice federal university.
On the official portal, you will be required to generate a Transaction Payment Slip, verify your profile details and the amount to pay. Thereafter, click Pay via Remita and the site will redirect you to the Remita payment gateway.
You can use a Valid Debit Card (Verve,Visa or Mastercard) to make payments, or you Print the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and walk into any bank near you to pay. You must hold the slip with you.
After payment, visit the official portal again to finish your registration. You will need to provide the following:
- Valid Phone Number & Email Address
- Preferred second choice of study, and
- Contact address
How to check ABU Post UTME Result
Candidates who sat for ABU Post UTME exams can check their results by following the steps below:
- First of all, visit the official ABU Zaria Post-UTME result checking portal using http://putme.abu.edu.ng/index_result.php
- Type your JAMB Reg Number in the appropriate space and select your state of origin.
- After that, click on “Login”.
- In your dashboard click on check “Post UTME Result”.
After completing the above steps, your result will be displayed on the portal.
ABU Zaria Post UTME cut off mark
Generally, the annual post UTME cut off mark is set at 180. However, some highly competitive departments like Medicine and Pharmacy witness slight variations every year.
The overall admission will be decided using the aggregate score obtained from adding UTME and Post UTME performance.
