  • Enter the last 4 digits of your debit card

  • To recharge for yourself: Dial *901*Amount# using a line linked with your account.
  • To recharge for someone else: Dial *901*Amount*Phone Number#. 

To explain further, if you intend to recharge 500 naira on your own line, then dial *901*500#. It’s as simple as that.

On the other hand, if you’re recharging that same 500 naira for another person using the phone number 08012345678, then dial *901*500*08012345678.

An alternative way to recharge for someone else is by dialling *901#, select 4 (airtime recharge), then 2 (third-party); enter the phone number, amount and confirm by entering your PIN.

What you should know

Usage of Access Bank code to recharge attracts absolutely no fee. However, there’s a daily recharge limit. Currently, it is capped at 5000 naira.

To put it differently, you can’t recharge more than 5000 naira on your line the same day.

In addition, you must be very careful while confirming an airtime recharge. The reason is, the process is irreversible. Therefore if you make a mistake by entering the wrong phone number, your money might go forever.
