FG plans to ban inter-state travel to halt Coronavirus spread

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that it plans to ban inter-state travels to halt the spread of coronavirus.

The Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhamadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, revealed this via a tweet.

According to him, the move will see Nigeria close down all motor parks.

It is not clear when the Federal Government plans on implementing the move; however, it looks imminent.

Meanwhile, several states in Nigeria including, Ebonyi, Rivers, Kaduna, among others, have already announced that their borders are shut with immediate effect.

Currently, Nigeria has recorded 51 cases of covid-19, according to the NCDC.
