Breaking: Highlife legend Victor Olaiya dies at 89

One of Nigerian’s Legendary highlife musicians, Sir Victor Olaiya, is dead. The musician passed away today February 12th 2020 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, after a brief illness. He was 89.

According to Channels, “Michael Odiong of Premiere Music, the record label that holds his music repertoire has confirmed this report.

During his illustrious music career, he featured 2Face Idibia in the remix of one of his biggest songs titled “Baby Mi Da”.

The late Olaiya was married and had many children including Nollywood actress, Late Moji Olaiya, who passed away in May 2017.

May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
