Yesterday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control gave the number of new COVID-19 cases recorded across the country.

According to the reports, Kano state alone recorded 80 cases in one day, bringing their total number of cases to 219.

In less than two weeks after Kano recorded its index case, it have overtaken Abuja as the second state with the highest number of total cases after Lagos state.

Recall that Naijahomebased reported that Kano recorded over 190 strange deaths in just one week, however, the state government denied it being related to COVID-19.

In any case, Kano state cases has skyrocketed and this has led to several reactions from Nigerians who are apprehensive about the coming days.
