With Nigeria reporting her first case of Coronavirus, the fear and tension among Nigerians have increased.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has urged Nigerians to be serious with their personal hygiene, remarking that God who overcame Ebola virus will surely put an end to Coronavirus too.

The Christian body declared that it would not stop praying until the novel disease is defeated.

It also advised Churches to make basic things such as water, soap and hand sanitiser available for worshipers.

Speaking on behalf of the association, Joseph Daramola, the general-secretary, charged Nigerians to stop panicking, saying that the disease will be defeated soon.

The God who answered our prayers in the time of Ebola virus which according to him is more deadly than Coronavirus will still grant us victory over Covid-19.

He said,  “The God who answered our prayers when the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), which is deadlier, came calling is still on the throne and that same God will also grant us victory over the COVID-19 in Jesus Name.”

“They should also follow these professional counsel: Avoid panicking. Regular washing of hands with water, soap and sanitizers (where available).”

“Avoid crowded places and people who are coughing or sneezing. “Covering of mouths and noses with a handkerchief or tissue while sneezing or coughing and Avoid self-medication.” He added.
