However, this guide is only going to show how to check your Airtel data balance by sending an SMS and by dialing a simple code. With that, you’ll have two options to choose from, based on your preference.

How to check Airtel data balance by USSD

  • On your Airtel line, dial the code *141*11*0#
  • Wait a few seconds to get a notification containing your remaining data.
  • Alternatively, dial *223# to receive airtime and data balance at the same time.

After completing the above steps, you will also receiving a message confirming the data volume your line has left.

How to check Airtel data balance Via SMS

Text the message “Status” to 141. Almost instantly you’ll receive an SMS containing information regarding your data bundle, it’s validity period and the data volume you have left.

Meanwhile, we’ve received several notifications that the SMS method doesn’t work sometimes. I guess it’s all down to how stable the network is at that particular instant.

In any case, the use of USSD code seems to be the most effective way to check data balance on Airtel.
