Note: you must have a phone number linked to your First Bank account, and you must have access to that phone number, for it is with that phone number you’ll be able to initiate your intended transaction.

How to check first bank account balance on phone:

  • First of all, dial *894*0#.
  • Select your preferred debit card from the list you’re provided with.
  • Enter the 4-digit PIN assigned to the debit card you selected
  • Create a 5-digit PIN for the Quick Banking service.
  • Afterwards, dial *894*00# to reveal your account balance.

Note: the first 4 steps listed above is only necessary if prior to now you haven’t activated First Bank Quick Banking.

Therefore, the next time you need to check your account balance, all you need to dial is *894*00#.

In other words, the actual USSD code for checking account balance on first bank is *894*00#.

If you’re not able to carryout the above transaction, maybe as a result of misplacing the phone number linked to your FirstBank account, then you need to visit any FBN branch near you.
