Chloroquine not approved for coronavirus treatment, NCDC warns

Following President Donald Trump’s declaration of chloroquine for a test drug as a possible treatment for the deadly novel virus, NCDC has warned Nigerians against using the drug.

the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their official Twitter handle to pass this warning across to Nigerians.

The NCDC also warned Nigerians against self-medication, emphasising that the use of chloroquine has neither been validated nor approved.
