Nigerian singer, D’Banj, has taken to Instagram to reiterate his stance in his defense against the rape allegations leveled against him.
He urged Nigerians to stop subjecting him to social media trial because he is ‘innocent’ unti proven guilty.
“Innocent until proven guilty…., STOP SOCIAL MEDIA TRIAL. #SAY NO TO RAPE AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION,” The Koko Master wrote.
Plus, he shared a video of himself dancing to his old song which talked about how some people want to see him fail but God will no allow them.
Recall that NaijaHomeBased earlier reported that D’Banj was accused of rape by one Seyitan Babatayo on the 3rd of June, 2020.
Thereafter, the singer allegedly went to her house with sponsored police officers and forced her to sign an undertaking and retract her allegations.
That move, however, attracted outrage from several Nigerians. Consequently, Nigerians took to social media to lash out at him and even create a petition on Change.org calling for the termination of his endorsements. The petition has now attracted over 16,000 signatures.
