The impeachment process which began in the U.S. Senate on January 16, 2020, has finally come to a conclusion, with the senate acquitting President Donald Trump on both articles of impeachment.
Taking to Twitter to celebrate his victory, Trump said, “I will be making a public statement tomorrow at 12:00pm from the @WhiteHouse to discuss our Country’s VICTORY on the Impeachment Hoax!”

In the same vein, several other people have taken to Twitter to celebrate his apparent victory. One notable person to have celebrated is Mike Pence, current Vice President of the United States.
“Just a little while ago the United States Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump on both articles of impeachment,” Pence said.
In another message, he urged Americans to vote for Donald Trump in the next election. He said, Thank you WomenForTrump! Pennsylvania and America need four more years of President Donald Trump.
However, other people have reacted negatively to the outcome of the senate ruling.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the decision to acquit President Trump an act of “lawlessness”.
