EFCC Arrests 12 Suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Ilorin

The Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Ilorin has arrested 12 persons in connection to internet fraud.

The suspects are Babatunde Omiyale, Salau Olumide, Akinsanya Ridwan Olamide, Akinola Eniola, Bashir Abdulbasit, Jide Owolabi, Kolade Balogun, Salawu Oluwadamilare, Akinola Opeyemi, Adewumi Johnson, Abiola Adedeji and Salawu Victor.

Officers of the EFCC paraded the suspects at different locations within the city of Ilorin after receiving intel.

The alleged ‘Yahoo Boys’ had eight laptops and several smartphones.

Meanwhile, the EFCC will charge the suspects to court upon the conclusion of an investigation.

Recall that the EFCC recently announced that its officers arrested 12 suspected Yahoo Boys in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
