Coronavirus Death Toll in Europe Rises Past 30,000

Published on

On January 14th, 2020, Europe confirmed its first case of the deadly virus. Just a little above two months later, the continent has now recorded over 450,000 cases and over 30,000 deaths according to Wikipedia.

As of March 13, WHO declared Europe as the new epicentre of coronavirus. Since then, the situation has grown from bad to worse.

However, it is sadly not over yet. The dire figure is expected to rise even higher.

The worst-hit countries, for now, are Spain and Italy. Both countries have recorded more than two-thirds of the deaths recorded in the continent.

According to Worldometers, Italy has recorded over 12,000 deaths while Spain has recorded more than 9,000 deaths.
