Family & background
Folarin Falana, AKA falz, is a native of Lagos State. He was also born in Lagos, in Mushin Local Government Area precisely. However, we can’t say for sure if he is also from Mushin, since he has so far never disclosed that in any interview.
He certainly had a background that is above the standard of a typical Nigerian youth.
Folarin attended private schools while growing up. For his primary education, he went to St. Leo’s Catholic Primary School, Ikeja; and for secondary education, he attended Olashore International School located in Osun State.
Falz’s parent
The defiant singer was born into the family of Femi and Funmi Falana. His father, Femi Falana is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN); a highly respected lawyer and human activist.
Falz’s mother, Funmi Falana, is also legal practitioner and women’s rights activist.
With both of Falz’s parents being human right activists, it is no more surprising that he also has a penchant for exposing victimizations in Nigeria. This was put in display in his song titled “This is Nigeria”.

Falz’s siblings
The rapper has two sisters: Folakemi and Foladele Falana. He, however, doesn’t have any brothers that we know of. In other words, he has just 2 siblings.
Unfortunately we don’t have any picture of his siblings.
Marital status (Is he married?)
Many people have been asking us, is Falz married? Does he have a girlfriend?
As a matter of fact, the singer is currently unmarried. To put it differently, he doesn’t have any wife.
What about Falz’s girlfriend?
Nobody knows who he’s dating; he’s managed to keep that a secret for many years. That has, however, not prevented people from making public their suspicions.
Many suspected Folarin Falana to be in a relationship with DJ Cuppy, Funke Akindele (aka Jenifa) and even Simi. The suspicion of a relationship with Simi has proved to be false as she’s now married to fellow singer Adekunle Gold.
However, in January 2019, during a sit-down with Teni on Flytime Promotions ‘The Journey’. Falz revealed that he’s not had a girlfriend for a long time. But he made it clear that he loves girls and thinks about getting married someday.
