Meaning of WAEC
The acronym WAEC stands for West African Examination Council.
It is one of the largest Examination body in the world. The popular examination body conducts its certificate exam for candidates residing in English-speaking West African countries only.
Meaning of WASSCE
WASSCE stands for West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
The examination is conducted by The West African Examination Council (WAEC). Upon the successful completion of the exam, each candidate is awarded a West African Senior School Certificate.
Meaning of NECO
NECO stands for National Examinations Council
It is an examination body in Nigeria that conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (June/July) and the General Certificate in Education (December/January).
Meaning of NABTEB
The acronym NABTEB means National Business and Technical Examinations Board.
It was established in 1992 in accordance with the provisions of the National Policy on Education. NABTEB is the default O’level examination for most technical high schools in Nigeria.
JAMB meaning
JAMB stands for Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
The popular exam body is responsible for conducting the largest entrance examination into Nigerian institutions of higher learning.
To gain admission into any Nigerian university, College of Education or Polytechnic, you must first of all register and pass JAMB.
UTME meaning
The meaning of UTME is Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The entrance examination we talked about earlier — that JAMB conducts — is UTME.
UTME result is valid for gaining admission into any Nigerian university, College of Education or polytechnic of your choice, provided you pass with a good score.
Meaning of GCE
GCE stands for General Certificate of Education.
The examination is popularly conducted by virtually all the Senior School examination councils in Nigeria, in addition to their regular Secondary School Certificate Examination.
