FUPRE Colleges and their courses & admission requirements:
FUPRE has two colleges (faculties, so to say). Each of them contains several courses with varying admission requirements.
Generally, pre-degree programmes of the University require at least 5 credit passes including English Languages and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings. Furthermore, you must apply through UTME and score 180 and above.

College of Science
College of science FUPRE has the following departments/courses:
B.Sc. Chemistry
To gain admission into Chemistry, students must possess an O’level certificate with Five credit passes which must include English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and either Biology, Agricultural Science, Computer Studies, Cosmetology or Dying & Bleaching.
In addition, they must register for English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Biology in their UTME.

B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry
Applicants of Industrial Chemistry must meet all the requirements for Chemistry above.
B.Sc. Mathematics
To study Mathematics in FUPRE, you must possess at least five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two from Computer Studies, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science or Data processing/GSM Maintenance.
Additionally, your UTME subject combination must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology or Agricultural Science.
B.Sc. Computer Science
To study Computer Science in FUPRE, you must have an O’Level certificate with at least credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two subjects from Computer Studies, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science or Data processing/GSM Maintenance.
Also, you must register for English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology or Agricultural Science in your JAMB UTME.
B.Sc. Environmental Management & Toxicology
To study Environmental Management & Toxicology In FUPRE, you must possess at least five credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; or a pass in Physics and a credit pass in Geography, Agricultural Science, Computer Studies /Health Education, Fisheries/Tourism.
In addition, UTME candidates must register for English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
B.Sc. Geology
To study Geology, you must have up to 5 credit passes O’level, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other one from Biology, Geography, Computer Studies, Agricultural Science, Data Processing/Mining.
In addition to that, you must register for English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and either Physics, Biology or Geography.
B.Sc. Geophysics
You must possess 5 credit O’Level passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and either Biology, Geography, Computer Studies, Agricultural Science, Data Processing or Mining.
Furthermore, interested candidates must register for English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics in JAMB UTME.
B.Sc. Physics
You must possess at least 5 credit O’Level passes, including English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Biology, Computer Studies, Data Processing, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Radio, TV & Electrical Work.
JAMB subject combination for B.Sc. Physics is Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry.
College of Technology
The college of Technology FUPRE has the following courses/departments:
B.Eng. Chemical Engineering
To study chemical engineering in FUPRE, you must possess at least 5 credit O’Level passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from either Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Dying & Bleaching or Leather Goods Manufacturing.
Also, the JAMB UTME subject combination includes Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry.
B.Eng. Electrical/Electronics Engineering
To study Electrical/Electronics Engineering in FUPRE, you must have up to 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and either Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Works, Auto Electrical Work.
Moreover, the JAMB UTME subject combination for Electrical/Electronics engineering includes Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry.
B.Eng. Marine Engineering
To study Marine Engineering in FUPRE, get at least 5 credit O’level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and either Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Auto Mechanical Work, Welding & Fabrication, Air Conditioning &Refrigeration.
Furthermore, you must register for Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry in UTME.
B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering
To study Mechanical Engineering in FUPRE, you must have at least 5 credit O’level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other subject from either Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Auto Mechanical Work, Welding & Fabrication, Air Conditioning &Refrigeration.

B.Eng. Petroleum Engineering
If you wish to study Petroleum Engineering in FUPRE, you must have up to Five O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and either Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Data Processing, Mining, Plumbing & Pipe Fitting.
Similar to other engineering courses, you must register for Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry in JAMB UTME.
