Nollywood Actresses, Genevieve Nnaji and Toyin Abraham have reacted to the death of 16-year-old Tina who was shot dead by a policeman trying to enforce lockdown and Uniben student that was raped and murdered.
Recall that Naijahomebased reported the case of 16-year-old Tina who was shot dead by a policeman trying to shoot a driver for flouting lockdown order.
Also, we earlier reported the case of 22-year-old Uniben student was attacked, raped and later died at UBTH.
These reports have garnered several reactions from irate Nigerians which has also led to several hashtags on Twitter.
Some celebrities have also lent their voices to the ongoing hashtags in reaction to the untimely deaths of these young ladies.
Popular actress, Genevieve Nnaji took to her Twitter account to state that ladies live in constant fear of men, whether the men are in uniform or not.
She wrote, “They either abuse their power, or have the power to abuse. In or out of uniform, we live in constant fear of men.
“Tina Ezekwe. Vera Omozuwa. Rest In Peace my darlings. We will get justice,” she added.
Another actress, Toyin Abraham has called on the police and judiciary to ensure that the killer of late Tina Ezekwe was made to face the wrath of the law.
Abraham took to her Instagram page to demand proper compensation for the family of late Tina.
The actress, who spoke with the parents of the deceased, expressed sadness over the development, urging Nigerians to extend their love and generousity toward the family.
“I spoke to Tina’s mum yesterday and today, it was the most heartbreaking moments of 2020; I am sad, very very sad.
“Being a parent doesn’t have to be this hard in Nigeria, Federal Government, Nigeria Police, we need justice.
“This should not go like any other case, life truly needs to matter.
