Glo 11k/s Prepaid Plan Migration Code, Call rates & Benefits

Published on

Glo 11K/s is a prepaid plan, also known as Glo G-BAM plus, is available to all new and existing Glo customers. In this guide I’ll explain everything you stand to enjoy by migrating to this tariff. You’ll also find out the migration code for subscribing ASAP.

The grandmasters of data, Glo, is popular for one thing in the telecommunication industry … they simply know how to get people to buy their SIM cards.

As a matter of fact, there’s always one special offer or the other, and that explains why it has continued to blossom in a country where several telecom companies have come and gone.

As the name implies, Glo 11k/s is a plan where subscribers get to enjoy 11 kobo per second on calls made to Glo lines. But it doesn’t stop there… the calls made to other networks in Nigeria and Zone 1 IDD destinations is unbelievably cheap. You’ll soon find out why I said so.

How Glo 11k/sec prepaid plan works (call rates & bonuses):

Unlike Glo Yakata, the Glo 11k/sec plan is not a promotional offer. In other words… whatever offers and charging rate you get right now will remain intact for a very long period of time.

But what are those charging rates?

11k/s for on-net calls:

On net calls are calls you make to other Globacom users. So, as it stands, you’ll be charged just 11 kobo per second whenever you call another person who uses a Glo number. Which means, every 1 minute of call you make to Glo numbers will be charged at only ₦6.6 (6 naira, 60 Kobo).

15k/s for off-net & zone 1 IDD calls:

Of-net calls simply means calls to other networks in Nigeria aside from Glo; while Zone 1 IDD international calls made to certain countries from around the world. With the 11k/s plan, you’ll be charged just 15 kobo per seconds whenever you call other networks in Nigeria and countries within zone 1 IDD.

Currently, there are 30 countries within zone 1 IDD, they include: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, French Guiana, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta , Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Puerto Rico, Reunion Island, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, UK, US.

So, any calls you make to all the aforementioned destination will be billed at only 15 kobo per second (or ₦9 per minute).

₦5 entry fee per day:

To enjoy all the above benefits, first you need to pay your daily rental fee of just ₦5. Thereafter, you can begin to make phone calls at those discounted rates.

The fee is charged automatically. All you need to do is make sure you have a minimum of ₦5 every day on your line.

If you don’t pay your daily rental fee, then your local calls for that day will be charged at 20k/s, while standard rates apply on calls made to international numbers.

And whether or not you use your line in a day, your daily rental fee will be deducted; that’s if you have up to ₦5 in your account balance.

10 minute free browsing per month

As a subscriber to the Glo 11 k/s tariff plan, you’re entitled to 10 minutes of free browsing per month. That’s quite small, don’t you think? 🙁

The free 10 minute browsing will not be credited immediately you migrate to the plan. It will be credited only after you have completed 30 days on the plan, and will be repeated 30 days after on a continual basis provided you remain on the tariff.

Your free 10 minute will expire 7 days after you get credited with it.

Cheap SMS

If you’re on the 11k/s plan? Your on-net and off-net SMS rate will be charged at ₦4 per SMS (160 characters) while messages sent to international numbers will be charged at ₦35 only.
