GTBank Transfer Code | How to Transfer Money using USSD

GTBank transfer code makes sending money to any bank in Nigeria easy. In this guide, you’ll learn how to transfer money from GTBank to GTbank or from GTbank to another bank using the *737# magic code.

Guaranteed Trust Bank, popularly referred to as GTBank or simply GTB, was one of the very first banks in Nigeria to embrace the use of USSD codes to perform transactions. Right now, you can perform funds transfer, airtime recharge, account balance enquiry, among others, from the comfort of your home.

However, knowing the magic code is one thing, using it is another thing. Therefore, we have decided to simply all of the steps in this post.

Before you’ll be able to use the GTB transfer code, you must have access to the phone number you registered with your GTB account. Also, you must create a Magic banking code by dialling *737#. That is if it’s your first transaction.

How to use GTB Transfer code to send money

To send money to other GTBank Accounts:

Step 1. Dial *737*1*Amount*AccountNumber#.

Step 2. Verify the names of your recipient and then dial 1 to proceed.

Step 3. Enter your Magic Banking PIN to confirm your transaction

After completing the steps above, you’ll receive an SMS telling you if the transaction was successful or not.

To send money to other banks (Non-GTB accounts):

Step 1. Dial *737*2*Amount*NUBAN Account Number#.

Step 2. Select your recipient’s bank and press “Next”.

Step 3. Verify the full name of your recipient and press ‘next’.

Step 4. Confirm the transaction by entering your magic banking code.

After following the above steps, you will receive a message confirming your transaction (debit alert).

Limits and charges of GTB transfer code

By default, everyone is limited to transfer a maximum of ₦200,000 while using the *737# GTB transfer code. However, you could apply for a token from your nearest Guaranteed Trust Bank branch.

The code is really fast and comes in handy at any time of the day. If you don’t want to use codes, another option would be to download GTB mobile banking app or visit the internet banking portal.

It works on any mobile device and does not require an internet connection.
