Want to know the requirements for joining the Nigeria civil defence? You’re are not alone; there are thousands of Nigerians looking to do the same. Therefore, we decided to provide this comprehensive list of the requirements for joining the NSCDC as obtained from the official website.
The full name of this paramilitary body is Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. However, many people refer to it simply as Civil Defence or NSCDC.
So, if you had any confusion because of the varying names, I believe you now know they represent the same organization.
NSCDC was established in May 1967, with the role of protecting Nigerian civilians from domestic violence. Furthermore, the NSCDC is tasked with the responsibility of disaster management. That is, whenever there’s a natural or artificial disaster, officers of the institution will be deployed to affected regions.
