How to open an Access Bank account using USSD:
- Dial *901*0# on your mobile device
- Select option 1 (open an account with BVN).
- Enter your BVN, which shall be used to fetch your profile from your previously existing bank account(s)
- Fill the form and follow the other instructions you find. After doing all that, you will receive an SMS on your phone containing your account number.
Occasionally, it might take up to 2 days to get the account number.
Note: You can only use the guide above if you previously have an account with any bank in Nigeria and you have a bank verification number, also known as BVN.
In the event that you don’t have a BVN, you’ll only be able to open a mobile wallet with Access Bank.
How to open an Access Bank account online:
Step 1. Visit the Access Bank account opening portal using https://accountopening.accessbankplc.com:8017/
You can do that using either your mobile phone or your computer.
Step 2. Click on the ‘Open Account’ button.
Step 3. Enter your BVN and click on ‘Continue’.
In the event that you don’t have a BVN, click on ‘Skip this process’. Thereafter, you’ll be taken to the personal info section, where you’ll have to enter several details about yourself. Complete the form and other forms that follow to complete your account opening.
