Ogun State Police have arrested a 35-year-old man identified as Habeed Kasali for allegedly killing a man whom he accused of having an affair with his wife.
Kasali, who is according to The Nation, a native of Totowu village in Igbesa, Ogun State, stabbed 32 years old Bamidele Johnson multiple times using a scissor. The late Bamidele Johnson is also a native of Totowu in Igbesa Ogun State.
Kasali reportedly confronted Bamidele on multiple occasions, accusing him of having an affair with his wife. However, Bamidele denied those allegations.
The final confrontation came on Saturday when Kasali confronted Bamidele accusing him again, leading to a fight between the duo. Kasali then brought out a scissor which he used in stabbing Bamidele on his neck, chest and eye regions.
According to police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, the incident was reported at Igbesa Police Division by a family member of the deceased.
The corpse of the deceased has been recovered to Ota general hospital mortuary for autopsy.
The suspect, on the other hand, will face charges upon the conclusion of an investigation into the matter.
