Barely hours after Emir Sanusi was deposed, Kano State government has appointed Aminu Ado Bayero, who is a son of the late Emir Abdullahi Ado Bayero, as the new Emir of Kano by the state government.
With this appointed, His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero becomes the 15th Emir of Kano.

Meanwhile, Sanusi who was recently dethroned was also arrested and banished from the ancient city of Kano.
