The Lagos State Government has withdrawn charges against Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, and politician Babatunde Gbadamosi.
Naira Marley and Gbadamosi, along with his wife were charged before the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba after they attended a crowded birthday party hosted by Funke Akindele Bello and her husband.
The full house party violated the government’s directive on social distancing, as there were more than 20 persons present there.
Journalists were barred from entering the vicinity of the court room during the hearing.
However, Mr Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN) who is counsel to the defence, briefed journalists that the state government withdrew the four counts filed against the three defendants, according to The Punch.
Mainwhile they were given the condition to tender an apology to President Muhammadu Buhari and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
