The Republic of Madagascar has recorded its first coronavirus-related death. The victim was a 57-year-old medical worker who suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure.
According to the national COVID-19 taskforce spokeswoman Hanta Danielle Vololontiana, who spoke in a televised statement, the man died on Saturday night.
“A man died from COVID-19 in Madagascar … he is 57 years old and a member of the medical staff,” she said.
This is coming barely days after African country shipped it’s alleged cure to several countries across Africa, including Nigeria.
