Bringing a child to life is undoubtedly one of the most glorious moments in life. However, a sour taste comes into one’s mouth if the cost implication cannot be buoyantly handled.
Such was the case of six women who newly gave birth in Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Ghana.
They were reportedly stranded and couldn’t pay the hospital bills.
Fortunately, a man saw the need to bail them from that fortunately unfortunate situation.
According to Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, the editor of Ghanacelebrities, the man was moved after visiting the hospital.
He then paid their bill to the tone of 5,000 GHC.
“He paid 5,000 GHS for 6 women he does not know from anywhere—and they were soon discharged,” Chris-Vincent revealed.
According to him, his friend questioned the unhealthy gap between the poor and the rich in the country.
Furthermore, he was curious to know why women become stranded at a government hospital upon the National Health Insurance scheme supposedly in place.
