Celebrities in Nigeria often try to keep their family out of the limelight. However, that is not the case for Richard.
He often shares pictures and videos of his children and wife on his Instagram page. Through those pictures, it is not hard to tell there exists a strong bond between the veteran actor and his children.
RMD often captions his pictures with words that show just how ‘grateful’ he is for the bond he shares with his children and wife.
Who is RMD’s wife?
Richard Mofe-Damijo is currently married to TV personality, Jumobi Adegbesan, who later left TV for the corporate world.
However, he was previously married to Nigerian journalist, May Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE). May died tragically in 1996 after she was operated for Fibroid. A sad day it was for the Mofe-Damijos.
RMD’s Children
With May Ellen-Ezekiel, fondly known as MEE, Richard has 1 son. And with his current wife, Jumobi Adegbesan, RMD has 4 other children, bringing his total number of children to 5.
In 2019, his youngest child graduated from Secondary School. The happy Richard took to Instagram to express his delight and said several words of prayers for his beloved daughter.
He captioned the picture saying: ‘Dear daughter, I am super proud of the young woman you’re evolving into. I’m excited to see you graduate high school…’
He continued saying: “May you choose what is right over what is popular. May you not be too ignorant to know that you don’t need to prove anything to the world. May you not be too arrogant to tell yourself the truth no matter how bitter”.
Such sweet words from the veteran actor.
RMD is also a proud grandfather. He took to Instagram to share a post with the caption: “I have proudly shared my family with you guys especially the joy and pride of being a grandfather, a joy that NOTHING has lived up to, so imagine how I feel being a grandfather again… I now have not only my lovely granddaughter but a grandson as well, something I am extremely grateful for.
He continued saying “I cannot bless God enough for looking beyond my faults and gracing my life with these little ones from my son. Thank you Lord Jesus is all I can say.”
