Social media is buzzing now because news has surfaced that Quaden is actually 18-years old and not 9.
If you have been following Naijahomebased, by now you would be acquainted with Quaden.
We reported a few days ago of his mother, Yarraka Bayles who took to Facebook to share a video of how the boy is reacting to the bullying he’s facing in school.
In the video, she implored parents to talk to their kids, and every one around to avoid bullying, because it is not good.
After posting the video showing little Quaden all tears and threatening to commit suicide, they both became popular.
Subsequently, American comedian, Brad Williams began a campaign to raise funds to send Quaden to Disney land.
Also, founder and CEO of One Championship, Chatri also offered the family an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore.
With all these good events coming up to brighten the boy’s saddened life, an alternating story is making rounds now.
According to some social media users, Quaden is not 9 but an 18-years-old adult and an Instagram personnel who is rich.
According to them, the mother and the boy are just using the boy’s situation to dupe people of money.
Some of these people shared photos of a birthday party with Quaden in attendance.
They claimed that was Quaden’s 18years birthday celebration.
They even shared photos of him in designer clothes, shoe and cap.
However, other social media users have come out to say no to that claim with a hashtag, I stand with Quaden:#istandwithQuaden.
His supporters shared photos of his mum carrying him as a little toddler in 2011.
They noted that Quaden only became popular at 4 after a TV program hosted him for an interview.
The TV show, “Standing tall for Dwarfism” featured Quaden and it was captioned, “meet the four years old who is helping to raise awareness for dwarfism.”
After the interview in 2015, he became popular and his presence on Instagram was established, according to his supporters.
His mother has also come out to debunk those claims of her son being 18.
