NDA Application Form & Portal 2020: How to Fill it Correctly

Published on

You can complete the NDA application form on the official portal of the Nigerian Defense Academy. However, it is important to know certain things before completing the form.

The first and most important thing to know is that all applications should and must be completed on the official website of the institution. You must be very careful as there could be scammers waiting to prey on misinformed or uninformed applicants.

Also, the NDA warns against paying anyone any money in order to influence admission.

The information on the official website reads: “Dear Prospective Student, Admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy is STRICTLY by merit. We will never ask for money to influence admission. Please beware.

Note: this is not the official website of the NDA. In fact, we are in no way affiliated to the Nigerian Defence Academy.

NDA Regular Course Admission Requirements

The general requirement for joining the Nigerian Defence Academy include:

  • Minimum of 5 credit passes in O’level to include English and Mathematics, which must be obtained in not more than 2 sittings. You must take note that — based on the instruction on the official website — candidates awaiting O’level results are not qualified to apply. Furthermore, only ‘O’level results of not more than 5 years before the date of application are acceptable.
  • The ages of all applicants must be between 17 and 21. In other words, you must not be younger than the age of 17 nor older than the age of 21 at the time of entry into the Academy. Applicants into the Nigerian Air Force, however, must be between the ages of 17 and 18 years old at entry.
  • Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 metres tall while female applicants must not be below 1.50 in height.
  • Applicants must be physically fit and have proof of that. Furthermore, they must be of good moral character.
  • All applicants must be unmarried and without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
  • You must provide a certificate of origin obtained from a Local Government. Alternatively, a certificate of State of Origin from the Office of the State Governor.

Note the above requirements are just the general requirements. Each course offered at the Nigeria Defence Academy has its specific requirements. To know those requirements, read: What are the requirements for Joining the Nigeria Defence Academy.
