Nigeria has recorded 416 new cases of the deadly coronavirus, this brings the total number of infected persons in the country to 10578.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) took to its official Twitter handle to make the announcement.
According to the health agency, of the 416 cases, Lagos recorded the highest number of infection; with 192 infections.
Furthermore, it said that the 416 new cases are reported from 20 states and the country has recorded 299 deaths so far.
It wrote; “
Lagos (192), Edo (41), Rivers (33), Kaduna (30), Kwara (23), Nasarawa (18); Borno (17), FCT (14), Oyo (10), Katsina (7), Abia (5).
Also, Delta (5), Adamawa (4), Kano (4), Imo (3), Ondo (3), Benue(2); Bauchi(2), Ogun (2), Niger (1).
So far, 10578 cases have been confirmed, 7157 active cases, 3122 cases have been treated and discharged.
Meanwhile, 299 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
