Nigeria and Lille’s striker, Victor Osimhen, has announced the sad passing of his father.
The star took to his Twitter page on Sunday to make the revelation along with several crying emojis to express his profound sadness.
“R.I.P. Dad. No words to describe this feeling,” he wrote.
Ligue 1 team, Lille, which he currently plays for also reacted to the sad news.
“Today we learned with great sadness of the passing of @victorosimhen9’s father,” they wrote on their official Twitter handle.
“The entire LOSC family is joined in grief with Victor and his family. He has our full support during this difficult time.”
The Nigeria Football Federation also wrote a message to console the striker.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Take heart and stay strong @victorosimhen9,” the NFF tweeted.
