However, several Nigerians remain trapped in that city with no hope of any evacuation.

A lot of them have taken to social media to beg the Nigerian government to evacuate them from the city.

According to several reports, African students make up a large proportion of foreign nationals studying in Wuhan. Among them are several Nigerians.

Although the number of infections has started to slow down in recent reports, people are understandably still scared and can’t take any more of the lockdown.

Nigerians trapped in the city have launched a social media campaign aimed at convincing the Nigerian government to evacuate them.

For now, we are waiting to hear a response from the government to know if there will indeed be any help.

In a video shared by one of them, she described how quiet the whole town is and how they have not been able to leave their homes since the outbreak of the deadly virus.

She also noted that they are having less and less food as the day passes by. The situation could get even worse as getting food supply will be really difficult.
