Npower Teach, also known as N-Teach, is one of the programs N-Power has on offer for potential applicants. In this guide, you’ll discover how to obtain the application form, the official application portal, and all the requirements for applying for N-Teach.
President Muhammadu Buhari-led government introduced The N-Power scheme, which according to them is a means of lessening the effect of unemployment and poverty in Nigeria.
Without a doubt, the program has now helped hundreds of thousands of Nigerians with temporary jobs that will help them survive the harsh economic situations.
Currently, there are several people deployed all over Nigeria to participate in the N-Power volunteer corps program — as teachers.
Although there are several other branches of the scheme, Npower Teach has always carried the highest number of applicants and recruitment.
In the last batch, the scheme selected over 300,000 teachers and deployed them nationwide. Meanwhile, many more are interested in applying for the current 2020 batch.

N-Power Teach requirements for 2020 batch
Generally, before you can apply for N-Teach, you must be a graduate of either a polytechnic (OND/HND), university, or College of Education.
Have it in mind, though, that only candidates who finished from NUC accredited schools stand a chance.
Other requirements include:
- Proof of Nigerian Nationality
- Valid email & phone number
- Bank Verification Number (BVN), etc.
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
How to apply for N-Power Teach 2020 online | portal.npower.gov.ng
To apply for N-Teach:
Step 1. Visit the official NPower registration portal using npower.fmhds.gov.ng. You can either copy and paste the link on your browser to visit the page.
Chrome browser or Mozilla Firefox will do just fine.
Step 2. Create your profile by entering your email address and choose a password.
Step 3. Visit your email and click on the confirmation link N-Power sent to you. Note that if you can’t find it in your inbox, you may have to check your SPAM.
Step 4. After confirming your email address, fill in your 11 digit BVN and date of birth in the following order (dd/mm/yy). Make sure your date of birth matches the one registered with your BVN. If not, you will not be able to proceed.
Step 5. Complete the biodata section by typing in your surname, first name, and middle name the same way it is shown on your BVN.
Step 6. Kindly indicate that you are educated since you are applying for N-Power Teach. People without education are cannot apply as teachers.
Step 7. You will need to indicate whether you are currently employed or not. After that, you’ll need to upload your government-issued identity card. Note that if you are currently employed, N-Power will most likely not select you.
Step 8. Submit your application.
After successfully completing your application to N-Power Teach, wait for a few days — and the date for the commencement of the aptitude test will be announced on the portal.
Meanwhile, you must play your own part by performing exceptionally in the aptitude test. That way, you’ll stand a better chance of selection.

Duties of N-Power teach recruits
Basically, the aim of N-Power Teach is to improve the delivery of basic education in Nigeria.
However, their job is not to replace the permanent teachers but assist with teaching, school management, and other functions within their respective schools.
Therefore, all volunteers will only serve as teacher assistants in public primary schools around Nigeria.
Meanwhile, if you possess skills in programming, graphics design, computer-generated images, animation, server administration, database management, networking, then you can select the STEM option under N-Teach during your application.
