An NYSC member serving in Abuja has passed away just a few days to the end of her service year.

The late lady identified as Amaka Asikaogu checked into New England Hotel with a male friend. However, her male friend left the room shortly after they were served food and drinks they ordered.

The hotel workers were alerted by his decision to leave, hence they questioned him about it. The man insisted that the lady was fine and still in the room. Also, they reportedly contacted the young lady who confirmed that she was doing fine.

However, the following day Amaka didn’t check out of the Hotel and this got the hotel workers worried. Subsequently, they forced the door to her room open only to discover her corpse.

The Sun quoted a family member of the deceased as saying, “her parents had sent her money for rent when she complained that the person she was staying with asked her to leave the house.”

“It was like she was waiting for the end of the weekend before she get the accommodation before the unfortunate incident happened,” the source added.

Meanwhile, her male companion has neither been identified nor tracked as of when we filed this report.
