OAU Admission List 2019: How to Check 1st, 2nd, 3rd Batches

There are two ways to check the Obafemi Awolowo University admission list; you can do that using the official website of the institution or on the JAMB CAPS.

OAU is one of the oldest universities in Nigeria and is first choice for thousands of applicants every year during UTME and Direct Entry admission seasons.

If you’re among those that applied this year, then I’m sure you’re eager to check your admission status.

The process for checking admission status is the same for both JAMB UTME and Direct Entry (DE) applicants.

How to your OAU admission status on the official website

To check if you have been offered provisional admission at OAU, follow the steps below:

Step 1. Visit the official admission checking portal of the institution.

Step 2. Enter your JAMB registration number and exam year.

Step 3. Click on ‘Submit’ and wait for the portal to fetch your admission status.

Thereafter, you’ll get a notification telling you whether or not you’ve gotten admission into OAU.

How to check OAU admission status on JAMB CAPS

To check if you have been offered provisional admission by Obafemi Awolowo Universiti, Ile-Ife on the JAMB website, follow these below:

Step 1. visit http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/ using a computer or smartphone.

Step 2. Enter your JAMB username and password, then click on login.

Step 3. Click on ‘Check UTME/DE Admission Status’.

Step 4. Select your exam year and enter your JAMB registration number.

Step 5. Click on ‘Check Admission Status’.

After that, you’ll get a notification telling you whether or not you have gained admission into OAU.

What to do after OAU offers you admission

  • Login to your JAMB CAPS account to accept or reject the admission. Meanwhile, you must have uploaded your O’level result on the caps. If you haven’t, see how to upload O’level on CAPS.
  • You also need to visit the school portal to pay the acceptance, then complete and print out the Acceptance Form.

If you can’t find your name

Make sure you keep visiting the official website or the JAMB portal until the admission process is over because OAU releases the admission lists in batches.
