Singer Djinee has reacted to the death of 22-year-old- Uniben student. He is of the opinion that parents should do better at raising their sons.
Recall that Naijahomebased reported that Uwa Omozuwa, an unknown man attacked, raped, and murdered while reading inside a church.
Uwa’s assault in Benin comes just a few days after the death of 16-year-old Tina who was shot dead by a policeman in Lagos.
Nigerians all over the country have condemned these incidents with the hashtags, #JusticeForUwa, JusticeforTina and also #Wearetired.
Reacting to Uwa’s death, the singer wrote in a series of tweets and replies, all stating his worries at the rate parents neglect their sons and focus on the female children.
The ‘Ego’ crooner, Djinee wrote: “Uwa’s story breaks me. We all have to admit that our parents have failed woefully in the raising of the male child.
“Concentrating too much on the conduct of the female child when it’s actually the males who have a higher propensity to do evil! #JusticeForUwa,” he wrote.
