A Pakistani woman aged 25 has reportedly cut off the Penis of a 28-years-old man who tried to rape her a few days before his wedding.

The woman who lives in the central province of Punjab, Pakistan reported to the police that she was alone when the man entered

In Pakistan, a good number of women are raped every year. However, because of the ineffective legislation and hesitation of victims to come out and speak, their attackers are not punished.

The woman admitted to knowing the man.

According to her, when the man entered and was trying to rape her, she dashed into her kitchen; grabbed a knife in self-defence

Mohamed Ilyas, a Police official told the DPA news agency that as soon as the woman took the knife she cut off her attackers penis. 

Furthermore, he stated that the man was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Faisalabad; a nearby city, where he got treatment for his injuries. 

According to Jaranwala Bilal Sulehri, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) the man and the woman knew themselves.

In addition, the ASP said that the man was to marry someone else. 

An investigation has been launched.
