Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme, popularly known as PYES, is aimed at empowering urban and rural entrepreneurs across Nigeria; however, not too many people know the criteria and steps for applying.

The scheme aims to create at least 774,000 empowerment opportunities for youths over a minimum period of two years.

A lot of people have already started keying into the programme and are already reaping the dividends.

Successful candidates will be trained in skills and vocations in area like:

  • Agriculture
  • Fashion
  • Information Technology
  • Catering
  • Technology Acquisition, among others.

Basically, all interested applicants must not be above the age of 40 or below the age of 18.

If you believe you’re suitable for the scheme, then you must follow all necessary application steps on the official PYES portal.

P-YES registration portal and application steps

Step 1. Visit the official PYES application portal using: https://www.p-yes.gov.ng/application

Step 2. Enter your phone number and email address to begin registration.

Step 3. Check your phone or email address to see if you’ve received the confirmation code.

Step 4. Enter the confirmation code on the portal to continue with your registration.

If you did not receive activation code after sign up, check to see if you have activated Do not disturb (DND) on your phone number. If you have it, then try to opt-out of the service and, thereafter, visit the activation page and click on ‘resend activation code’.

If after 10 minutes you still don’t get a message on your email or phone number, please contact the support team to lodge a complaint. But, first of all, make sure the email and phone number you provided is correct.

Make sure you don’t register twice; double registration is strictly prohibited.

If you received your activation code and after entering it you get a message saying: “Invalid activation code”, then you also need to follow the steps above to resend the verification code.

Is PYES free?

Application for the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (PYES) is absolutely free. Beware of fraudsters who operate scam websites targeted at stealing from unsuspecting citizens.

Registration has yet to commence. Actually, some batches were recently concluded, and we expect a new one to commence soon. We will update this post as soon as a new registration begins.
