Biography

Regina was born on 10 October 2,000 into the family of Mr & Mrs Daniels in Asaba, Delta State. Her father is believed to hail from Ogwashi Ukwu, a town located in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.

She is the fifth child out of six, including three older brothers, a younger sister and an older sister.

Growing up, she attended Hollywood International School for her secondary education. And for tertiary Education (where she still happens to be), she’s studying Mass Communication at Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO).

Movies & Acting career

Regina Daniels began her acting career at a very young age (Seven precisely). Her mother, Rita Daniels, who is also an actress, was instrumental to her success.

According to various reports Rita gave her all the support she needed when she started pursuing a career in the Nigerian movie industry. And so did her older siblings

As we have earlier noted, Regina daniels began auditioning for movies when she was just just 7 years old. The first movie in which she featured is titled “Marriage of Sorrow“.

After her first movie, she has gone on to feature alongside prominent actors & actresses, including Ini Edo, Chika Ike and Mercy Johnson, etc.

However, the movie that brought Regina Daniels into limelight is “Miracle Child”, which she acted in 2010, when she was just 10 years old.

Her endeavours in the Nigerian movie industry has seen her earn several awards nominations.

In 2015 and 2016, Regina Daniels earned City People Movie Awards nominations for the Most promising actress. Also in 2016, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress of the year.

Controversies

Celebrities in Nigeria always manage to court one controversy or the other. You can’t really blame them; they are public figures and, as a result, have many eyes watching their every move.

Husband too old?

Regina Daniels has been criticized heavily by the Nigerian populace because of the huge age margin between herself and her current husband Ned.

There is an outstanding age gap of 30 years between them. In other words, he is old enough to be her father.

However, that is in no way illegal and, I must say, some of those criticisms are unmerited.

Fraudster?

In the later parts of 2017, a young Nigerian Lady aspiring to become a movies star accused Regina Daniels of defrauding her. She accused the Nigerian movie star of setting her up with a supposed producer, and demanding that she became intimate with him.

Regina, however, denied all those allegations, claiming there was an impostor in town using her name to defraud unsuspecting victims.

Fortunately, the impostor was arrested on 23 October 2017, thereby clearing Regina Daniels’ name.

Using Voodoo?

In May, 2019, Regina Daniels Shared a picture on her Instagram page, showcasing one of the expensive cars she now rocks, courtesy of her billionaire husband.

However, that didn’t appear to go down well with one of her rival wives, Lina. She accused Regina Daniels of using voodoo, otherwise known as black magic, to trap Ned.

Commenting on the movie star’s picture, Lina said: “What is Legit? Voodoo is not Legit. You can’t even cook yet you complain my cooks are serving you white man’s meal.

She continued: “Soon you will be replaced; this charm will fade off.“

We are yet to confirm if the account truly belongs to Lina, since it doesn’t indicate a verified account. Besides, Ned is a very private man, with his family life strictly away from public eyes.

However, we can confirm that Ned Nwoko’s image consultant Karifest ‘Duchess’ Onyeka, in an interview with Vanguard, described the reports as false.

He said: “It is a big fat lie that the other wives of Ned Nwoko have ganged up against Regina Daniels,” he told Vanguard.

“I’m not supposed to comment on this but I want to correct the false impression. That fake news is the handwork of enemies. There is none of Ned’s wives that is at loggerheads with anybody.

“Whoever he is married to is too comfortable to complain. They have the choicest cars and whatever they want at their disposal.

“So, what do they have to complain about? The man (Nwoko) is a nice, kind and lovable person“, he added.
