Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua, have offered ex-Super Eagles star, Jude Odion Ighalo, a mammoth deal worth roughly ₦176 million per week.
Ighalo is currently playing from Manchester United on loan from the same Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of the Chinese Super League. However, several rumours have been linking him with a permanent deal recently.
The Nigerian striker has scored four goals from just three starts. Clearly, this blistering form has made his parent club eager to retain his services.
His present deal with Shanghai will expire in December 2022, but Shanghai want to keep him until December 2024.
According to SkySports, Ighalo will wait to see if Manchester United offers him a permanent deal before deciding his future.
Meanwhile, the EPL season is on hold, courtesy of the novel coronavirus that has shocked the whole world and put several countries a lockdown.
The 30-year-old’s loan deal with the Old Trafford side will expire on May 31; however, it might extend until June 30 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
