How to share glo data

You can share your data subscription with family and friends on the Glo network so they too can surf the net, make downloads or uploads even if they are not currently subscribed to any plan or bundle. In this guide I will show you how to share your Glo data with your friends & Family.

Note: Glo data sharing doesn’t work with other networks in Nigeria. In other words, you can’t share Glo data with your family or friends who use MTN, Airtel, 9mobile or any other network. That is, for a person to be able to receive a shared data from you he/she must be using a Glo line.

On Glo, data sharing is when you add numbers of your family and friends to the list of people allowed to use your current subscription.

So instead of having to buy a plan for two or more people, one subscription will do the trick. Gifting, on the other hand, is when you buy a subscription for the sake of someone else who uses a Glo line.

Read this post if your intention is to Gift to your family and friends instead.

How to share data on Glo

To share your Glo internet subscription with family and friends using USSD, dial *127*01*[friend’s number]#.

For instance, if your recipient’s Glo number is 08051234567, dial *127*01*08051234567#.

Alternatively, send “Share [friend’s number]” to 127. For example, if you recipient’s line is 08051234567, then send “share 08051234567” to 127 (do not add the quotes).

The number above is just a sample, don’t share with it.

In case you change your mind about people allowed on your sub, you can remove any number from the list of people you share your data with.

And to avoid Glo getting played, make sure you always check to see the list of numbers that are currently allowed to use your subscription. That’s if you’re the type that your phone is not always on your hand.

Glo has been dishing out a lot of freebies in recent times. And our experts at NaijaHomeBased are always at hand to verify the best deals out there.
