Body modifications have been around since ancient civilization. Every one of us has modified our bodies one way or another.
Some people do it just for fun. Some for religious reasons, like circumcision and forehead scarification.
A few persons, however, do it to correct physical attributes they consider are nature’s mistakes.
But how far are you willing to go to get the look of your dreams?
Breast enlargement, nose, ears, eyes modifications, tattoos, and the likes are common nowadays.
However, what is quite uncommon, is a person changing their entire being into a creature from a comic movie.

Here are the six most extreme body modifications you’ll ever find
1. Anthony Loffredo – Black Alien Project
Anthony Loffredo who is now popularly known as ‘Black Alien’ has had his upper lip removed, cut off his nose, ears and split his tongue.
As if that was not enough, he has also covered himself in tattoos and piercings to look like a real-life alien.
His most daring modification must be the tattooing of his eyeballs. A procedure that could easily cause blindness if not done properly.
Loffredo admits that these transformations have made it harder for him to speak. However, he has no regrets whatsoever.
For his nose removal, he had to travel to Spain as it was illegal in his home country, France.
Now, that’s some real spirit.
He now has horn-like bumps on his forehead, thereby introducing a reptilian twist to his alien look.
Anothony’s pre-surgery look is what many would call dashing.
However, he says he has no regrets and doesn’t have a hard time finding romantic partners. His girlfriend is seen in several of his snaps and videos sharing romantic moments with him.
Loffredo documents his transformation dubbed the Black Alien Project on his Instagram page which has over 600,000 followers.
Now, that’s an impressive number for an alien! Aren’t you guys supposed to be freaked out?
On mother’s day, he uploaded a photo of himself and his mum to prove that she supports him. “Mum tells them it’s not true – she doesn’t have nightmares when she looks at me. I manage to put a smile on your face and that for me is one of my best victories. A mother never judges her son,” he captioned the post.

2. Rico Ledesma – The ‘Orc’ from Lord Of The Rings.
Rico Ledesma, who is on a mission to look like an ‘Orc’ from the blockbuster movie, Lord of The Rings, has split his tongue, widened his nasal septum, and spent more than $400 on four tusk-like teeth.
He admits his tusks make him struggle to chew food. However, there’s no stopping this man on his quest to become an Orc.
He says the worst modification he has had is the scarification on his calf, done with a hot iron.
This man sure as hell can handle a lot of pain.
He said it took four months for his wounds to heal partially.
Yeah… partially!
Despite that, he calls the scar one of his proudest modifications.
Body mods are quite expensive.
Rico’s extreme procedures would have cost him tens of thousands of dollars.
But guess what, he has spent next to nothing on several procedures.
His wife who is a body-piercing professional does most of the modifications.
And she encourages and supports him as well.
Rico says his family and friends love his new look – even his daughter. So, who are we to judge?
At least, his look has earned him a role in an upcoming movie.
He definitely won’t be needing any costume.
But he’s not done yet. He hopes to attain a near-perfect orc look in the nearest future.
Rico has 85 percent of his body tattooed, including his eyeballs. But that’s not the current world record.

3. Lucky Diamond Rich – Most Tattooed Man in History
Gregory Paul McLaren, who goes by the pseudonym Lucky Diamond Rich holds the current Guinness world record for the most tattooed man in history.
Born in New Zealand, Lucky got his first tattoo when he was just 16 years old.
Soon after, he became interested in breaking the world record.
He has spent hundreds of hours at tattoo studios and now has 100% of his body inked.
I mean, every single area on Lucky’s body is covered in ink.
Including his eyelids, mouth, ears, and foreskin. Yeah… Down there.
Imagine how much pain he has had to go through to make his dreams a reality.
4. Tiamat Medusa – The Man Who Became a Trangender Dragon
Body modification enthusiast, Tiamat Medusa, has spent thousands of dollars transforming from a man into a ‘human dragon’.
He was born Richard Hernandez in Maricopa County, Arizona.
At the age of 5, the young Richard and two of his siblings were abandoned by their parents.
Tiamat allegedly faced abuse as a child that led to a ‘disconnect’ from the human race.
Before transforming into Tiamat, he worked as an executive at Jp Morgan Chase.
In 1997, Richard Hernadez was diagnosed with HIV and decided to change their life completely by ‘shedding’ parts of their humanity.
He said, ‘Having been to hell and back, having endured so much cruelty at the hands of humans, making myself into something from another species is my own way of dealing with the spiritual, emotional, psychological pain and anguish that continues to torment me through my life today.’
Tiamat underwent multiple procedures to achieve this dream body.
This has seen them implant 18 horns. Other procedures include ears removal, nose reshaping, eyeballs staining, 26 teeth removal, and tongue splitting.
Right now, Medusa is regarded as the most modified transexual woman in the world.

5. Rolf Buchholz – Most Modified man in History
Another man that will fit into a horror movie without a costume is Rolf Buchholz.
He currently holds the Guinness world record for the man with the highest number of modifications.
Rolf has 516 body modifications, 268 of which are penis piercings.
Oh my goodness!!!
Body piercings are excruciatingly painful, but for Rolf, it’s just a piece of cake.
So, how is he able to endure so much pain?
He got his first tattoo pretty late. He was already 40 years old at the time.
But he then quickly became addicted to body art and began experimenting further with piercings and scarifications all over his body.
Just 20 years later, he became a world record holder.
On his lips alone, he has 158 piercings.
On his forehead lies two subdermal implants that stick out like a pair of horns.
Now, that’s what folklore tells us the devil looks like.
And Rolf knows just that.
“A lot of people think I’m the devil. But I don’t believe in the devil,” he said during an interview.
6. Dennis Avner – The Stalking Cat
If you think you’ve seen it all, wait till you hear to story of Dennis Avner, known as the Stalking Cat.
Avner who was of Native American descent was born in Flint, Michigan in 1958.
In the early 1980s, he embarked on a mission to transform himself into a Tigress, which he believed was an ancient Wyandot practice.

His body transformation was extremely compelling to the point that he held a world record for “most permanent transformations to look like an animal.
During that time, though, extensive body modifications were not as common as it is nowadays. As a result, he had to face relatively more stigma.
