The spread of the deadly coronavirus across the globe has led several companies all over the world being shut down and a group of small businesses in the US have collaborated to sue China for trillions of Dollars. 

These small business groups include Cardiff Prestige Property, Little Saigon Chamber of Commerce, First Premier X, among others in California filed a lawsuit against the People’s Republic of China; the City of Wuhan and the country’s Health Commission.

The document was obtained by TMZ and according to the document – the group alleges that the Chinese government knew as early as mid-November that what they were dealing with is a “new” and potentially lethal virus, however, they covered up the cruelty of the illness.

The lawsuit, also claims that it’s possible a bio-weapons lab near Wuhan could be accountable for the infected bat that settled in a wet market and eventually causing the pandemic.

According to claims made by the group, China was well aware of the pandemic earlier than February and should have alerted the World Health Organization and neighbouring nations, however, they failed to do so.

Consequently, China has cost entrepreneurs dearly, this group of businesses says and they are asking for a whopping $8 trillion for damages.

According to them, they and other small businesses have suffered those damages due to government-ordered closures.

Since the virus broke out in China, over one million people have been infected with over 82,000 deaths recorded globally.
