Suicide Bombers Kill 1, Injure 13 Others in Borno

  • Twin female bombers attacked a mosque in Gwoza, Borno State
  • One death confirmed and several others injured

News reaching us now has it that two female suicide bombers have attacked a mosque in Gwoza, Borno State. This attack has resulted in the death of a twelve-year-old boy and has left thirteen others injured.

According to a report by Channels TV, the bombers arrived at the mosque during the early morning prayers and were trying to force their way into the mosque which led to some persons in the neighbourhood raising an alarm.

Meanwhile, some of the residents said they are suspecting that the suicide bombers may have entered the town in the course of a wedding ceremony which held at the Emir’s palace on Saturday.

In any case, police authorities in Borno State said the area has been cordoned and soldiers from the 192 battalions have already been deployed there.

In spite of this, We will keep praying for our Beloved country Nigeria; we owe her that much.
