Suspects who kidnapped and murdered 3 UNIPORT students have revealed their reasons for carrying out such a reprehensible act.
The suspects were arrested after which they led authorities to the location of the shallow graves in which they buried their victims.
The Nation quoted the alleged leader of the gang, Bright Iheachi, as saying he ordered their killing because one of them ran away with his N4 million.
Meanwhile, one of the members of the gang revealed that before killing their victims, two among them, first of all, gang raped the female among them.
“We held the three persons at the sand field. All of us, five in number, killed them. They (victims) were three: two young men and a woman,” The Punch quoted one of the gang member, Friday Akpan. as saying.
“Two among us gang-raped the female. Bright brought the gun we used in killing them. I am a member of Iceland,” he added.
Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Nnamdi Omoni, revealed that their confession helped them “recover the bodies of the undergraduates.” He further added that One of the victims was Nelson Nwafor, the female was Joy Adoki, while the other one was Fortune Obimba.”
