Tori Bowie sadly passed away, on May 3, 2023. She was just 32.
Tori was an American track and field athlete, who competed in the long jump, 100 m, and 200 m. Bowie won the 2017 100m world championship. And she was a three-time Olympic medalist.
Her representation agency Icon Management announced her passing with a message on Twitter saying, “We are devastated to share the extremely sad news that Tori Bowie has passed away. We have lost a client, a dear friend, a daughter and a sister. Tori was a champion…a beacon of light that shone so bright! We are truly heartbroken and We pray for his family and friends.”

Bowie was found dead at her home in Florida. A cause of death has not been released. We await an official autopsy, as this is a developing story.
One of the first people to report her death was the singer, Paul Askew, who indicated that she might have suffered from depression in the days leading up to her death.

USA Track & Field national governing body, USATF also paid tributes with a tweet saying, “USATF is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Tori Bowie, a three-time Olympic medalist and two-time world champion. Her impact on the sport is immeasurable, and she will be greatly missed.”
