UNICAL Admission List 2019 | 1st & 2nd Lists | How to Check

Published on

You can check and accept University of Calabar (UNICAL) admission lists for 2019 using your phone or computer; this includes 1st, 2nd, and other supplementary lists.

The University of Calabar is located in the capital city of Cross River State. It was established in 1975, which makes it one of the oldest universities in Nigeria.

Every year, thousands of students from every corner of Nigeria apply for admission to study in UNICAL. Whether you applied through JAMB UTME or Direct Entry (DE), the process for checking the admission list is the same.

By now, I believe you must have checked your UNICAL Post UTME result and scored up to the cut-off point.

If that’s the case, then the next thing is to keep track of your admission status online. The two ways you can do that is via the official UNICAL website or on JAMB CAPS.

In this article, we’ll show you how to do both.

How to Check UNICAL admission list

On the official UNICAL website:

Step 1. Visit the official website using https://myunical.edu.ng/post-utme/check-admission.aspx

Step 2. Enter your JAMB registration number twice in the two boxes you’re provided with.

Step 3. Click on Login to access your portal.

The page that opens after you follow the steps above will display your admission status.

On JAMB CAPS:

To check your University of Calabar admission status on JAMB CAPS:

Step 1. visit http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/ using a high-end mobile device or computer.

Step 2. Log in to the JAMB portal using your username and password

Step 3. Click on ‘Check UTME / DE Admission Status’.

Step 4. Choose your exact examination year and enter your JAMB registration number.

Step 5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status’.

After completing the steps above, you’ll see a notification confirming your UNICAL admission status.

What to do after the University of Calabar offers you admission

First and foremost, you have to decide whether you want to reject or accept the admission.

If you choose to accept the admission, then login to your JAMB portal and upload your O’level results. Thereafter, you’ll be able to click on the ‘Accept admission’ button.

In the event that you don’t want the admission, all you have to do is click on ‘reject’ or ignore the notification.

Another point to note is that if you fail to provide any response within a certain period of time, your admission will be reversed.

Additionally, you may have to pay an acceptance fee, depending on your department, before you’ll be allowed to print out the admission letter.

What to do if you can’t find your name on the list?

Check again some other time, whenever you hear that a new list is out. The reason is, UNICAL releases admission lists in batches.

To put it differently, there are 1st, 2nd and other supplementary lists. Therefore, we urge you to keep checking the official portal on a regular basis to know when a new list is out. In fact, do that every day if possible.
