The University of Jos, as virtually everyone knows, is located in the capital of Plateau state. Founded in 1975, the institution features among the oldest universities in Nigeria.
Aside from the fact that it is one of the oldest institutions in Nigeria, it is also one of the most prestigious schools in the nation in terms of the quality of education it provides.

How to Check University of Jos admission list
On the official UNIJOS website:
To check the University of Jos Admission list on the official website, follow the steps below:
Step 1. Visit UNIJOS undergraduate portal using https://portal.unijos.edu.ng
Step 2. Click on ‘CHECK ADMISSION‘. You’ll find it at the top menu of the page.
Step 3. Next, supply your JAMB registration number and click on ‘Get Started’
On JAMB CAPS:
To check your UNIJOS admission status on JAMB CAPS:
Step 1. visit http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/ with a computer or at least a smartphone device.
Step 2. Enter your JAMB username and password to login to the portal
Step 3. Click on ‘Check UTME / DE Admission Status’.
Step 4. Choose your exam year and enter your JAMB registration number.
Step 5. Lastly, click on ‘Check Admission Status’.
On the next page, you’ll see a notification confirming your UNIJOS admission status.
What to do after UNIJOS offers you admission
You must first decide if you want to accept or reject the admission.
If you wish to accept the admission, then, you have to stay logged in to your JAMB portal and upload your O’level results. After that, you’ll have the option to accept the admission.
If you wish to forfeit the admission, all you have to do is click on ‘reject admission’ or ignore the notification.
If you fail to provide any response within a certain period of time, your admission will be reversed.

Note: you have to pay the UNIJOS acceptance fee before you’ll be allowed to print out the admission letter.
What to do if you can’t find your name on the list
The University doesn’t release all the list at once. Therefore, you must keep checking to know when a new list is out.
Other lists may follow the second list, depending on how many people rejected admission and several other factors.
On the official website of UNIJOS, you’ll find all the latest news regarding admission.
We advise you to check on a regular basis to know when a new list is out. If possible, check every day.
